In LLP «Uranenergo», under the leadership of General Director Iskakov Daurzhan Mukhamedzhanovich, in addition to fulfilling the main tasks of ensuring reliable and uninterrupted power supply to uranium mining companies, special attention is given to measures aimed at environmental protection. It is worth noting that in addition to purely production problems that are solved systematically, the company holds various thematic events with the participation of representatives of the public and the media.
On July 12, 2019 at the production facility in Shieli settlement, employees of LLP «Uranenergo» held an event dedicated to the World Environment Day called «BIR ZHER - BIR Otbasy» («One Land – One Family»).
On this day, in the morning, the energy workers in the territory of the repair and industrial building located in Shieli settlement planted seedlings, cleaned the area and sanitized it, which was very symbolic, showing an excellent example of care and love for the native land.
Further, the event moved to the House of Culture “Arman” in Shieli settlement, where, just before the event, numerous viewers and guests were offered an incendiary flash mob with the participation of children from the «Syr Ulany» children's recreation camp. At the end of the event, all the children were presented with beautiful t-shirts and baseball caps with the company logo.
Daurzhan Iskakov, General Director of LLP «Uranenergo», warmly welcomed and congratulated all those who gathered at the solemn event. He voiced that in order to improve the image of enterprises on environmental issues, JSC «NOK «Kazatomprom» annually initiates greening of territories, garbage collection, environmental illumination in all structural divisions of the company, in order to attract the attention of the general population to the issues of environment and the preservation of ecological well-being, including ways to efficiently, carefully and rationally use natural, human and material resources. He called on all participants in the event to take action to preserve our nature. In conclusion, he said: «Let's make sure that our courtyards and streets are clean, the mountains and forests are green, and our children, looking at us, learn to treat with care and love for the world around them. World Environment Day is another reason to pay attention to the fact that nature requires a careful and caring attitude to itself».
The event was continued by an intellectual competition for the knowledge of thematic proverbs and sayings. Spectators and guests were actively cheered and warmly applauded to the contestants. Also within the framework of this event, several contests were held, including in the competition of children's drawings and selfies on given topics in three age categories, in the age category of children 3-7 years old. It is worth noting that all the drawings were of good quality and the jury was moved by the children’s deep understanding of environmental problems and the desire to portray their feelings.
The solemn event was decorated with beautiful and patriotic performances by singers and vocalists, as well as dancers from the «Arman» Palace of Culture, who repeatedly participated in various regional competitions of pop artists.
At the end of the holiday, all participants of the competitions were awarded with letters, letters of thanks and valuable gifts.
The most important thing is that on this day the employees of LLP «Uranenergo» received a great charge of vigor and energy, and felt the importance of this event in the preservation of our nature.
