Kazatomprom meets with Marubeni Corporation

On May 20, Mazhit Sharipov, Chief Executive Officer and Chair of the Management Board, NAC Kazatomprom JSC met in Nur-Sultan with the representative of the consortium of Japanese partners – Mr. Tadanori Tobita, President and CEO, Marubeni Utility Services, Ltd.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the matters relating to the operations and development of the joint ventures Baiken-U LLP and JV Khorassan-U LLP, which mine uranium using the in-situ recovery method at the Khorassan-1, Khorassan-2 blocks and the south-eastern flank of the North Khorassan deposit in the Kyzylorda region.

The meeting participants confirmed their interest in the long-term collaboration to implement joint projects in the nuclear industry.
